BUSY BUSY BUSY.. Life IS BUSY! WEEEEE

Hey readers! I really hope you are all doing well! :) I have been a very busy little bee! Between studying to socializing, my life has been busy. I have actually been so busy that I have had no time to Twitter! My tweets have been reduced to 5-8 a day.. I know it sounds like a lot, but my life is quite interesting! :P
These past 2 weeks I have been given 4 assignments. 1 is on History, 1 is on Religion, 1 is on Science and the last one is for my media class. Fun fun fun :)

I’m sorry for my lack of updating my blog, and I hope that I don’t loose any readers! :)

WRITING POEMS

Good day world! :)

Many people may think that if you write a story or a poem your a geek. Some ‘bully’ type people think that if you write poems or stories your a ‘pussy’. But I believe that everyone is equal and that everyone has a beautiful heart! I have always had a passion for writing and reading. I was the 1st boy in year 1 to read a full novel. Ever since then I have always been in the extension classes, as reading and writing are two of my favourite things! Poems are very strong. They often express your emotions, and to do that with a pen and a piece of paper it means you are a very strong person. Poems are very sweet but they can also be very sour. Back in 2005 a man used a poem as a death threat.:

Antonio Batista wrote the poem about Pat Saito, a Ward 9 Mississauga councillor, after he received a property tax bill in 2005 meant for a developer and had trouble sorting out the problem. The poem includes the following passage: “We are going to dig a pothole about six feet long and three feet wide and five feet deep to hide her body and God will take care of Her Soul, but We cannot forgive her for doing nothing.” — Taken from thestar.com

Poems also come in a number of different forms! Just to name a few… Haiku poem, Cinquain poem, and the commonly known Acrostic!

I have written a number of Cinquain poems, but my favourite is one I wrote about the colour Orange. (Colour is spelt right!! In Australia that’s how it’s spelt!) I have actually left my book at school, so when I go there tomorrow I’ll be sure to collect it and type it up! :)

APPLE SPAT THE CORE AT MICROSOFT!!

So, you remember my post about Microsoft being ass holes towards Apple, right? Well this week Apple decided to make a few new ‘Get a Mac’ adds. They are relatively humorous, but one is just outstanding! it’s Apple responding to Microsoft. Check it out:

POWER OUTAGE IN PERTH — WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT POWER!?

So this evening while reading the bids on an item I posted for sale, I heard a big bang. Then, my lights went off. Then my Hard drive stopped spinning, then the alarm started beeping. I’ve used then too many times purposely to add an affect for those of you who haven’t caught on! lolerskates :P I have been without power for 2 hours, and it has made me realize how dependent we are on electricity! I have no access to my photo’s, music or video as my external drive is powered by electricity. It is annoying, as I have very few candles. And I only have 1 torch which is the family torch. For the past couple of hours I’ve been walking around with my Macbook pro, acting as a torch. If your ever stuck on torches an awesome thing to use is a DSLR camera (The shooting flash is an awesome light), an iPhone (The screen size is handy) and a Laptop. That’s what I’ve been using :) But, they’re all powered by electricity so that lead me to wonder. What would we do without power?! I mean, we’d be uncivilized!? Maybe not so much now (As we have Solar power) but 20 years ago they’d had nothing. Electricity or candles. it’s sad huh? Have you got any horror stories about power faults? Or, do you have a story to share, OR.. Do you have any words of wisdom? Right now, I’d like to thank Steve Jobs for making awesomely long batteries in Macbook Pro’s! Thanks Steve *Send email* =D

NEW TWITTER APPLICATIONS FOR MAC

I’m a Mac fan. If you haven’t caught on yet, you probably need a serious coffee boost :) I also Love twitter, as it is one of my main feeds for information. Twitter is an awesome website that lets you communicate with friends in a different way to Facebook or Myspace. You only type updates that are 140 characters. You can even upload pictures and your current location. It is awesome. So, we’ve established 2 things. 1. I love Mac. 2. I love twitter. Naturally, when these two things mix something wonderful is created. A twitter application for Mac. There are many applcations for Mac and PC. To name a few.. Tweetdeck, Twittelator, Lounge. I have used all 3 of these applications, but I have yet to find one that I thoroughly enjoy.. Then, last week Tweetie came along. I have use Tweetie on my iPhone for months, so I thought it would be awesome on Mac as it is on iPhone.. Boy, was I right! The UI is amazing! It works just like some of the features on the Mac. Here’s an overview and demo of Tweetie for Mac by Jon4Lakers (A popular technology enthusiast).

If you want to download it, you can here: http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-mac/ — It is a piece of free software that I highly recommend! :)
